01Acceptance & scope
These Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement (together, the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Centrul de Terapie si Masaj Dora Cocis SRL (“Napoca Interactive”, “we”, “us”), a company registered with the Romanian Trade Register (Registrul Comerțului) under no. J2020002841126, sole registration code (CUI) RO43044221, with its registered office at Str. Fabricii nr. 7, 400620 Cluj-Napoca, jud. Cluj, Romania.
The Terms apply to:
- the website at napocainteractive.com; and
- the game CRUDE: From Wildcat to Tycoon and any related updates, builds and content we make available (the “Game”).
By using the website or installing, accessing or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the Game. Your purchase and use of the Game is also subject to the rules of the store you bought it from (see section 9).
02Eligibility & age
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live and to meet the Game’s content/age rating, which will be confirmed before release. In Romania and the EU, if you are under 16 you need the consent of a parent or guardian for any processing of your personal data that relies on consent. You must also meet the minimum-age requirements of the store you use (Steam or Google Play).
03Accounts & security
Some features of the Game — online play, cloud saves, multiplayer and leaderboards — require an account (a Napoca Interactive account and/or your Steam or Google Play account). When you register or use an account, you agree that:
- you provide accurate and current information and keep it up to date;
- you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and you will tell us promptly at hello@napocainteractive.com of any unauthorised use;
- you will not share, sell or transfer your account, or use anyone else’s account without permission;
- your display name and any profile text must follow the conduct rules in section 4 and the user-generated-content rules in section 10.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account or access to online features — proportionately and, where required, with notice — if you breach these Terms, cheat or manipulate leaderboards, or where necessary to protect the service, other players or our legal position. Where a breach is serious (for example cheating, fraud, or abuse of other players) we may act immediately. See also section 15 (Termination).
04Acceptable use & online conduct
Online features are shared with other players, so fair play and respect are required. You agree not to:
- cheat, exploit or bot — use cheats, hacks, trainers, automation, bots, memory or save editing, or exploits of bugs to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate scores, rankings, matchmaking or the in-game economy;
- tamper with leaderboards or fair play — submit falsified results, collude to manipulate rankings, or interfere with other players’ sessions;
- circumvent anti-cheat or security — disable, bypass or interfere with anti-cheat, integrity checks or other technical protections;
- harass or abuse — harass, threaten, defame, or post hateful, obscene or otherwise unlawful content, or impersonate others;
- disrupt the service — attempt to overload, attack, gain unauthorised access to, or otherwise disrupt our or the stores’ systems.
We may run anti-cheat and integrity measures (which may process the fair-play data described in our Privacy Policy), review reported conduct, and remove content, reset or adjust leaderboard entries, and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
05Intellectual property
The Game, the website, and everything in them — including code, art, characters, audio, text, the “Napoca Interactive” and “CRUDE” names and logos, and all related trademarks — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of the Game or our brand to you.
06Game licence (EULA)
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment, on devices you control, through the store account you bought it with.
This is a licence to use the Game — you do not buy or own the Game software itself. On Steam, the way this licence works alongside your Steam account is further governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement (see section 9).
07Licence restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly allows otherwise, you agree not to:
- copy, distribute, publicly perform, rent, lease, sell or sublicense the Game, or make it available to others outside the rights your store grants (e.g. Steam Family Sharing where offered);
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the limited extent this cannot be prohibited by law;
- cheat, or use unauthorised bots, hacks, mods or tools that give an unfair advantage, corrupt gameplay data, or bypass technical protections;
- remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notices; or
- use the Game to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights.
08Virtual items, virtual currency & in-app purchases
The Game offers in-app purchases (IAP), and may include virtual currency and virtual items (together, “Virtual Items”). You should understand the following before buying:
- Licence, not ownership. Virtual Items are part of the Game and are licensed to you under a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence for use inside the Game only. You do not own them, they have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred outside the Game, except where applicable law or the store requires otherwise.
- No real-world value / no cash-out. Virtual currency and items cannot be redeemed for cash and are not your property or a bank/credit balance.
- Availability may change. We may add, change, remove, or stop offering Virtual Items or features, or expire unused virtual currency, acting reasonably and subject to your mandatory consumer rights; where a change materially harms items you have already paid for, your statutory rights continue to apply.
- Non-refundable except as required by law/store policy. Purchases of Virtual Items are generally final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by the store’s policy or by mandatory EU/Romanian consumer law (see section 9). For digital content supplied immediately, you may be asked to consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day EU right of withdrawal once supply begins.
09Purchases & refunds
You buy and download the Game, and make any in-app purchases, through a third-party store. Those purchases — including IAP and Virtual Items — are processed by the store, not by us, and are governed by that store’s terms:
- Steam (PC): purchases, payments and refunds are governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and the Steam Refund Policy.
- Android: purchases, payments and refunds are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and Google’s refund policy.
Refunds therefore follow the relevant store’s policy (including for Virtual Items and IAP). This does not affect any mandatory statutory withdrawal or refund rights you may have as a consumer under EU/Romanian law, which continue to apply.
10User-generated content
The Game lets you provide certain content — in particular a display name and any other profile text or content you make visible to others through online features, leaderboards or multiplayer (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content, and it must comply with the conduct rules in section 4.
- Your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights to any User Content you submit and that it is not unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, obscene, or otherwise in breach of section 4.
- Licence to us. You keep any rights you have in your User Content, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display and use that User Content solely to operate, provide and promote the Game and its online features (for example, showing your display name on a public leaderboard).
- Moderation & takedown. We may review, refuse, filter, change or remove User Content (for example an offensive display name), and reset or adjust leaderboard entries, where it breaches these Terms or the law, acting proportionately.
11Steam EULA registration
Action item (studio note). Because the Game collects data and includes online features, accounts, user-generated content and in-app purchases, a custom Steam EULA must be registered in Steamworks for CRUDE. Valve’s default EULA (which only references the Steam Subscriber Agreement) is not sufficient for this profile. This document is intended to serve as, or be adapted into, that custom Steam EULA, and it operates alongside the Steam Subscriber Agreement referenced in section 9.
12Early access / beta
CRUDE is in active development and may be offered as an alpha, beta or early-access build. That means:
- features, content, balance, save-file structure and system requirements may change, break or be removed between builds;
- saves and progress may not always carry forward between versions;
- the Game may contain bugs and is provided on an “as is” basis; and
- we do not promise any specific future feature, release date or final scope.
Buy an in-development build for what it is today, not for what it might become.
13Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and the Game are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the mandatory legal guarantees and consumer-protection rights you have under EU and Romanian consumer law, including the legal conformity guarantee for digital content and services. Where those rights apply, they prevail over this section.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the website or the Game.
Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Game in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct — and they do not affect your mandatory consumer rights under EU/Romanian law.
15Termination
The licence in section 6 lasts until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these Terms, and we may suspend, restrict, revoke or terminate it and your account (and access to online features) where you materially or repeatedly breach them, cheat, or manipulate leaderboards — in each case proportionately and, where required by law, with notice, except that for serious breaches (such as cheating, fraud or abuse) we may act immediately. You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game and ceasing to use it. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, virtual-item and UGC licences, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination. Termination of the licence does not by itself entitle you to a refund, which remains subject to the store’s policy and your statutory rights.
16Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that, if you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable law.
EU online dispute resolution: the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform for consumers at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to, and do not commit to, use an alternative dispute-resolution body, but you may contact us first at hello@napocainteractive.com and we will try to resolve any issue directly.
17Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the website, the Game or the law changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Continuing to use the website or the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The current version is dated 13 August 2026.
